Farmington NM Family Portrait Photographer | The Kempton Family Shuffle

I don't know of another family with more wit, charm, grace, charity, and class than the Greg and Cathy Kempton Clan. This was technically my first indoor shoot - outside the studio, that I've every attempted. Used a portable lighting kit that seemed to work out pretty good. It got me excited for other "indoor" possibilities.

Anyway, as you can tell we had a blast on Christmas Eve day capturing the dynamic personalities from the baby up to the Grandparents. :) I love these people so much and was very honored to be able to shoot their Christmas Family Portrait. Thank you guys!

Farmington NM Musician Portrait Photographer | Colton Avery at the Totah

Well my wife, nora, and I caught the tail end of Colton's show at the Totah Theatre and needless to say what we heard was amazingly brilliant. For those of you who already know Colton, understand that he is true, pure talent. Anything he writes is money. I believe he's the next generation John Mayer but who am I. Nothing more than a fam fan that simply loves his music. If you haven't heard of Colton Avery...go check out his site immediately and then you too will understand what I'm talkin about.

Become a fan at WWW.COTLONAVERY.COM. The worlds needs some POSITIVELY GOOD TUNES!

Farmington NM Family Portrait Photographer | The Eddy's

What can I say I have the coolest in-laws in the World! This family has believed in me when I did not believe in myself...and if it wasn't for them I would not have have fallen in love with two of the most special girls in my life. They are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the out. I love you guys and thank you for letting me capture your family moment this Christmas season.

Farmington NM Family Portrait Photographer | The Larson Family Shoot

This has got to be one of the coolest, funniest, funnest, wild, wacky, and yet....insightful families we're delighted to be considered family with. . Our adventures took us deep into the Kirland, NM outback where we find wild horned sheep, goats, peacocks, and mangy little kittens scurrying about old ancient indian ruins. These pictures only scratch the surface of what I consider to be one of the zaniest photographic explorations I've every been on.

Farmingotn NM Family Portrait Photographer | Shiprock NM | Great Uncle Caleb & His Jedi Apprentice Lucas

I'm very grateful to be tied into the Blair line as I've discovered it's full of amazingly kind, talented, and beautiful people. It was Caleb's idea to go out to Shiprock. We really had no idea what to expect. Interestingly we stumbled on to some really cool stuff. I don't think I've ever shot a cooler set of eyes (other than Nora's) then I got with brother Lucas. Anyway this was a really cool experience for us and we appreciate the opportunity. Love you guys and thanks again.

Farmington NM Farmily Portrait Photographer | La Plata Highway | Hampton Family Portrait Shoot

It just doesn't pay to speed when you late. It's funny. Most every time I'm on the highway, I start to offer a little prayer in my mind to help me not get any speeding tickets while driving...and every time, in miliseconds after I've started the little prayer, a voice enters my head that says simply states..."DON'T SPEED", before I can even finish the prayer.

Well sometimes i ignore those small promptings like the day of this shoot and sure enough...got pulled over. Fortunately, a member of the family was a police officer and called in some mercy on my behalf. The officer essentially told me, go to court, contest it as not guilty, and I'll go ahead an defer it for you. That was cool. Katie are PARANOID by the law!

Anyway, what a pleasure and privilege it was to shoot Susan Hampton and her family. The pressure was on as most of you are aware that Susan is an exceptional photographer. I was nervous, but I did the best I could. Such a beautiful and bright personality family. Katie and I had a blast. Thanks for trusting me Susan.
